Evan H. Black, MD - The American Academy of Ophthalmology recently announced nineteen Eye M.D.s were chosen via a competitive selection process to participate in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) XIII, Class of 2011. Congratulations to ASOPRS own, Evan H. Black, MD who was selected to participate.

Alon Kahana, MD, PhD - 2010 Recipient of the ARVO/ALCON Early Career Clinician Scientist Research Award

Shannath L. Merbs, MD, PhD - 2010 Recipient of the AFER/Pfizer Ophthalmics/Carl Camras Translational Research Award

Brian S. Biesman, MD, FACS, director of the Nashville Centre for Laser and Facial Surgery and clinical assistant professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will be awarded the highest honor from the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) at its upcoming annual conference.  The Leon Goldman Memorial Award is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the broad field of laser science, technology and medicine.
