Oculoplastics Faculty


The Duke University School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology is accepting applications for a highly qualified, full-time specialist in oculofacial plastic surgery.  Candidates must have successfully completed a fully accredited ophthalmology residency training program and be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  Applicants should have also completed a broad-based fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and diverse practice that includes tertiary patient care, clinical research, and teaching opportunities in an accredited residency program and an established fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery.  This position includes an academic appointment in the Duke University School of Medicine.

Position available starting January 2016 in Oakland, California for ASOPRS-fellowship trained oculofacial plastic surgeon to join group of 18 ophthalmologists (11 general, 7 subspecialists) in large, established, multi-specialty practice.  Patient-load will be 100% oculofacial plastics with an opportunity to participate in a cooperative, multi-disciplinary cosmetic center with Dermatology, Head & Neck/Facial Plastic Surgery, and General Plastic Surgery.


Primary patient care activities will be at a medical campus with a newly constructed medical office building and adjoining hospital.  There are no satellite responsibilities and oculofacial plastics-only call duties will be shared.


The interested applicant should be well-trained in all aspects of cosmetic and functional oculofacial plastic surgery with a special interest in orbitofacial trauma and pathology.  Opportunities exist for academic affiliation with nearby respected training programs.
